Materials and Maintenance

We construct our decks from high quality pressure treated timber from sustainable sources.  We use timber treated with water repellent meaning that the timber lasts for over 25 years.

Timber decks can be left in their natural unfinished state or they can have painted or varnished finishes applied.

Decks require very little maintenance depending upon their finish.  Water repellent should be re-applied every two years.  Whilst varnish should be re-applied periodically according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Otherwise a deck requires cleaning periodically to remove dirt or moss growth.
